This is great. This is the kind of thing that used to happen to us. Not anymore. The great thing about this whole Ortiz shirt being buried under the new Yankee stadium thing is that spending all this time and money (after denying it ever happened) just shows the world the Yankees are no longer in first place. They are chasing ghosts and curses now. That means poor decisions from on top. Decisions made with history in mind rather than logic. This feels like the Yankees from my youth. Back when they sucked.
I’m willing to bet that after the stadium is completed it comes out there were two jerseys buried and only one dug up. Or maybe a few syringes in an old coke can.
